This Austrian 20-heller stamp, issued as part of the grand 1908–1916 Jubilee series, features a finely engraved portrait of Ferdinand I, Emperor of Austria from 1835–1848. Designed by Koloman Moser and beautifully engraved by F. Schirnböck, the issue is admired for its Secessionist decorative frame and precise line engraving. Printed typographically in rich brown, the stamp formed part of the multi-denomination historical ruler set celebrating the 60th anniversary of Emperor Franz Joseph I. It remains highly collectible for its artistic design, superb engraving detail, and its place in Austria’s classical imperial philatelic era.
